The PPGCAL is multi-disciplinary, and includes the areas of food chemistry and technology, human and animal nutrition and health, and interacts closely with several national industries. The profile of our students is also characterized by its multidisciplinarity, and includes food engineers, nutritionists, chemical engineers, chemists, biologists, veterinarians, physicians, microbiologists, pharmacists, among others. The insertion of PPGCAL alumni in the job market is continuous, both in academia as in the productive sector. The PPGCAL scientific publication is solid, and highly concentrated in high-impact journals in the area. Most publications of full articles in international journals are co-authored by students and alumni of the Program.
